Neymar to undergo foot surgery

The Brazilian born PSG striker is set to undergo surgery on his fractured foot, Neymar suffered a foot fracture during his team’s 3-0 victory over Marseille in Ligue 1 last Sunday. Following this ugly incident Neymar will not be able to play for his team PSG as they take on Real Madrid on 6th  March in a Champions League clash.

The club said Neymar will be operated on in Brazil at the end of the week. PSG added that after “three days of planned care” it was a joint decision by the club’s medical staff and the Brazilian national team to opt for surgery.

Neymar’s father had ruled out PSG’s hopes that he has chances of playing Real Madrid by advising PSG not to count on his son for the big game against Real. Senior Neymar  told ESPN Brasil: “His treatment will last six to eight weeks, whether there is an operation or not.”

PSG fans will not likely find Neymar’s absence in the big game scheduled for March 6, 2018 funny.
