Jigawa State Treat 57,000 Cases of Child Nutrition

Jigawa State government said it has treated fifty seven thousand six hundred and fifty seven cases of acute malnutrition in the state in 2017

Nutrition officer of the State Magaji Ahmed made this revelation at the united nations children’s fund Bauch field office end of the year review in Jos

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that UNICEF’s Bauchi  field office covers six state which includes Bauchi, Plateau, Adamawa, Taraba, Jigawa and Gombe.

Earlier the chief of UNICEF Bauchi field Office, Dr Abdulai commended the state government for supporting the fight against Child malnutrition in the state.

He however added that a lot needed to be done in order to eradicate malnutrition in children noting that government and other relevant stakeholders should brace up
