Yesterdays’ champions league round of 16 game on Stamford Bridge between Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona left fans of both teams including “anti-fans” to argue along party lines on which team was actually whipped.
While FCB actually occupied the center stage on the pitch of play Chelsea, on the other hand almost stole the game by getting the first goal courtesy of Willian at the 62nd min.
FCB restored the confidence of their fans in the game by retaliating the goal with a fantastic kick from Messi at the 75th min. which brought the game to full time 1:1 score line.
While FCB entertained the audience with their usual fantastic football Chelsea, on the other hand used their favorite counter attack model, to spice up the game.
For those who weren’t opportune to view the game the following statistics of the game would settle the argument: Chelsea vs Barcelona: shots on target 2:2, shots off target 7:3, possession 32%:68%, corners 3:4, offsides 1:0, fouls 17:1, yellow cards 2:3, goal kicks 7:5, treatments 7:4.
At this point, I believe you can suite yourself with the right judgment on who was actually whipped.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed till FCB welcomes Chelsea in Camp Nou come March 14th 2018 while we watch out tonight for Manchester United vs Sevilla.
