Germany football team manager, Joachim Low has explained why Manchester City star, Leroy Sane is absent from the 23-man squad he is taking to the World Cup in Russia this month.
“Sane had a spectacular season for Pep Guardiola’s City side, winning the Premier League title and destroying Arsenal 3-0 in the Carabao Cup final to secure a double trophy-winning season for the Citizens.
The 22-year-old also won the ‘Premier League Young Player of the Year’ award, marking a fantastic campaign that saw Sane contribute to some world-class attacking football.
Explaining his decision Germany’s coach revealed that he doesn’t think Sane is ready for the international stage.
Low said: “That was a very close decision between him and Julian Brandt, which was made in favour of Brandt.
